Lakeside: Harmony Garden

Lakeside Harmony Garden

The Lakeside Community Garden broke ground in September of 2007. Funding for the garden was primarily from grants from the Coquille Tribal Community Fund and in-kind donations from the community and residents of Lakeside. Initially it had sixteen raised beds but six more were added in 2008.

Twenty beds are open to the public with one being used by the library for their summer reading program and two used by the seniors. The children read about gardening and having corresponding garden project. The Senior beds are used to provide fresh produce for their weekly meals. The other nineteen beds are rented out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The success of the garden has been overwhelming, to say the least. THE 2025 APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 1 @ LAKESIDE CITY HALL. There is a donation box in City Hall next to the reception area if you would like to help with the cost of running the garden and landscaping around town.

The garden is at 915 North Lake Rd. (located beside City Hall building)
